2019 Rao R. Ivatury Trauma Symposium, Wednesday March 22, 2019
   Call for Abstracts — 2019


From all submitted abstracts, 3 brief oral presentations and 10 posters will be selected. Abstract submission from all disciplines involved in trauma care are encouraged, including physicians, nursing staff, and pre-hospital providers. Original research and quality/performance improvement projects are eligible for submission.

  • Short, specific title (no abbreviations) that indicates the nature of the project.
  • 300 words maximum — No references, tables, or figures.
  • For original research, include background, study methodology, results, and conclusion.
  • For QI/performance improvement projects, include purpose, theoretical or conceptual framework, instruments and data analysis, major findings, and implications of the results.

Submission Deadline for Abstracts:  January 18, 2019

Notification of oral and posters winners:  February 1, 2019

Final submission of oral presentations and posters:  February 22, 2019

The presenting author should be listed first in the order of authors. All communications will be directed to the presenting author only.

An individual may submit more than one abstract.

All abstract and presentation content must be in compliance with copyright laws.

The recommended format for abstract submission includes a clearly stated introduction, methods, results and conclusions.

Poster presenters are expected to be registered participants of the symposium. Standard registration fees apply.
