Dr. Rossi acts in as the medical director of CTCCE, supervising and ensuring the quality of education we provide. As a former high school chemistry teacher, education is one of his passions. It was fitting that, in 2018, Dr. Rossi was appointed the Medical Director of the CTCCE and the paramedic program. He is also the Vice-Chair of the Virginia chapter of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), Committee on Trauma. He serves as the ACS's Stop-the-Bleed champion for Virgina. Under Dr. Rossi's leadership, VCU taught how to stop life-threatening hemorrhage through the Stop the Bleed program to nearly 5,000 people.

Dr. Rossi frequently serves as the course director for the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Rural Trauma Team Development Course (RTTDC), and the Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma (ASSET) course. He has been instrumental in developing training programs in surgical airway and trauma, including an EMS cadaver lab experience for paramedic students.

Dr. Rossi received his medical degree from Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine with a fellowship at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.  He specializes in acute care surgical services and trauma general surgery.
